Below is the link to the ELIS (Educator License Information System)

How to renew your license instructions from the South Cook Intermediate Service Center is below.

If you need CPDU's values, the link is below.

Effective July 1, 2014

  • No reduction in CPDU requirement with an advanced degree

  • Effective July 1, 2014, all teachers will be required to earn 120 CPDU’s, and there will no longer be any reductions of CPDU’s based on a master’s degree or any other advanced degree
  • 60 day deadline to enter all professional development activities
  • Effective July 1, 2014, any time a teacher/administrator participates in a professional development activity, the activity must be entered into the ELIS system within 60 days of taking the activity.  This one has big implications for all educators.  The way it is written, it implies that if the activity is not entered within the 60 days, then the activity will not be allowed to be claimed in the future.

Educators with Administrative Endorsements, but not working in an administrative capacity:

  • Beginning with their first full renewal cycle, these educators will be required to obtain one Administrator Academy course
  •  You will need to take one AA course during the five year period

This will not go into effect until their first full renewal cycle.  So, if one of these educators’ license is up for renewal in 2015 or 2016, for example, they are in the middle of a renewal cycle—so they will not need the AA course before 2015 or 2016 and this will impact them after that cycle is up.

This will impact those that are up in 2014—as they will be beginning their first full renewal cycle under the new rules.
