In collaboration with the Village of Orland Park and the University of Chicago, a delegation of leaders from China visited District 230 and Sandburg High School to learn about education in the United States.
Sandburg High School's State Champion Cross Country Team was honored by the School Board.
Andrew Science Teachers Barb Sopiarz and Tracy Sukalo and Division Chair Dr. Natacia Campbell have been invited to present at a national science conference. They were honored at a School Board meeting for this selection.
Technology Innovation Facilitators Chris Frye and Desi Vuillaume shared with the School Board a myriad of examples of the ways teachers are incorporating technology into their lessons.

The District 230 School Board approved the next phase of the S4 Digital Learning Program at its January meeting. Beginning in 2016-17, ninth and tenth grade students will receive a Chromebook laptop for use throughout their high school education and beyond. They will use the devices in class and take them home in order to extend learning beyond the walls of the schools.
