Bass Fishing Club students across the district have partnered with Orland Park to build fishing cribs for an ecology service project to build up the fish habitat in Lake Sedgewick.

Superintendent's Message

I spent a couple days in Springfield this week meeting with elected officials in conjunction with the Illinois High School District Organization legislative conference. It was a great opportunity to meet individually with Governor Bruce Rauner and a number of Senators and Representatives to share how pending legislation impacts our schools. I also had the opportunity to go onto the Senate Floor to see the legislative process in action.

As I spoke with elected officials, I told District 230’s story. I was proud to speak about our dedicated staff, students, families and community. How our students excel and how we have put into place supports to assist those who struggle. All of the work we do in our schools prepares students for their future, no matter what path they chose. READ MORE

America's Top High Schools

All three District 230 high schools are among America's Top High Schools according to a The Daily Beast report. The recognition considers graduation and college-acceptance rates as well as college-level courses and exams, percentage of students with free or reduced lunch, SAT and ACT scores.
