UPDATE: The D230 Hackathon has been postponed until Fall. Check back for details
What is a Hackathon?
A hackathon is best described as an “invention marathon”. Anyone who has an interest in technology attends a hackathon to learn, build & share his or her creations over the course of a weekend in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. You don’t have to be a programmer and you certainly don’t have to be majoring in Computer Science. (Source: https://mlh.io/faq)
For 26 hours on April 29t & 30 students from local area high schools will gather to collaborate on projects within the subjects of Energy Efficiency, Health/BioPharma, and Societal/Human Services.
This will be a great opportunity for students to have fun, compete, and learn new skills.
This will be our first Hackathon and we are very excited about this day!
