6.30 - Organization & Instruction

The School District has instructional levels for grades 9 through 12. The grouping and housing of instructional levels in school facilities shall be according to plans developed by the Superintendent and approved by the School Board in order to:
  1. Support the District’s educational program,
  2. Maximize facility usage without undue overcrowding, and
  3. Provide substantially comparable instructional programs across the District.
Students, for instructional purposes, may be placed in groups within the school which do not necessarily follow grade level designations. For purposes of attendance reporting and other records, however, each student must be identified as to grade-level placement. Students shall not be promoted for purely social reasons. The criteria for promotion shall be the student’s achievement of District goals and objectives and ability to perform at the next grade level rather than age or any other social reason not related to academic performance.
