McKeown named Andrew High School Athletic Director



The High School District 230 School Board approved the hiring of Kevin McKeown as Athletic Director of Andrew High School.

McKeown has spent the past five years as Athletic Director at Oak Lawn High School where he started his career in 2003 as a social studies teacher, football and bowling coach.

"Kevin brings passion, creativity, and a leadership style that will allow us to continue to make great strides in the area and at the IHSA level,” said Principal Bob Nolting.  “Kevin's approach to building a comprehensive athletic program, development of athletes not only physically, but through leadership and character-building opportunities, and importance of engaging our community were key characteristics that we believe are tremendous assets for Andrew High School.  I am confident that Andrew athletics is ready to excel with Kevin as its leader."

 Kevin received his bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University in Secondary Education.  He also holds two masters degrees from Concordia University (Curriculum and Instruction) and Olivet Nazarene (Educational Leadership).  He is also a Certified Athletic Administrator as recognized through the NIAAA.
