The High School District 230 School Board approved the hiring of Zachary Spoor as Division Chair for Social Studies, World Languages and Art at Stagg High School.
Spoor has served the students of Stagg High School since 2014 as a Literacy Specialist and Social Studies Teacher. Before joining District 230, he was a Social Studies Teacher at Grant Community High School in Fox Lake, Illinois for four years.
"Zach has played an integral role in organizing and implementing academic supports for our students as a Literacy Specialist,” said Principal Eric Olsen. “He has taken on a variety of leadership roles in the social studies division and across the school. His student-centered approach to providing academic supports will be a great asset as leads the division in providing high-quality learning experiences for all students in social studies, world languages and art.”
Spoor earned two Master’s degrees from Concordia University including one in School Leadership and another in Literacy Education. He also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching History from Augustana College.
